Origin of Gauquelin data
Gauquelin data handled by g5 come from two distinct sources :-
L'influence des astres, a book published by Michel Gauquelin in 1955.
This book contains the lists of famous persons with birth dates, times and places. Most of the data published in 1955 (but not all) are also published in LERRCP series A.

Publications du LERRCP. The LERRCP (Laboratoire d'Étude des Relations entre Rythmes Cosmiques et Psychophysiologiques) was the structure used to publish some works of the Gauquelins. Around 30 booklets were published, and 10 contain lists of persons with their names and birth places, dates and times: A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, D6, D10, E1, E3.
Informations about these booklets can be found on different places:- The BNF (Bibliothèque Nationale de France) holds a paper copy of the booklets ; BNF online catalog provides informations:
- Web site cura.free.fr contains a list of LERRCP booklets.
- Web site astrolearn.com contains a list of Gauquelin publications, including LERRCP.
This gives 21 249 persons.

Most of these differences have no known explanation, either a bug in g5 or a mistake on Cura web site or a mistake from Gauquelin.
Gauquelin unique id
Each person in g5 database has a unique id formed by its "slug", and several local ids, only unique within a source (see page on database).Applied to Cura data, each person is at least related to 2 sources : one source called "lerrcp" and one source related to its file of origin (ex "A1").
This gives at least 2 local ids for each person :
- One id referring to its file of origin, using its field NUM of Cura file.

One id referring to "lerrcp" source. This one is called the "Gauquelin unique id" (abbreviated GQID).
It is built concatenating the id of its file of origin and its NUM within this file.
Ex : for the first record of file A1 (Pierre Alard 1937-09-17), its GQID isA1-1.
For duplicate persons (listed in several Cura files), the file where it was first published is retained to build its Gauquelin unique id - this corresponds to the alphabetical order of file names (A1 was published before A2 etc.).
Example :
Louis Geraud 1902-07-06 is NUM 2054 in file A1 and NUM 1008 in file A2.
Its g5 unique id (slug) is
geraud-louis-1902-07-06

Duplicates
Analysis of the database shows that- 212 persons appear twice
- 4 persons appear 3 times
Full restoration of names in A files may show more duplicates.
